My painting begins with lived experience.

A place, a relationship, a dream, an emotion, a silence — something touches me, sometimes before I can name or understand it. Painting is where I stay with that experience and allow it to take form through gesture, colour, matter and rhythm.

At the heart of my practice is a recurring question: what makes something truly alive?

Over time, this search has taken shape through three recurring visual languages: Embodied Script, Deep and Vibrant.

Embodied Script opens.
Deep goes within and through.
Vibrant lets life move into form.

They are not fixed styles, but different expressions of the same ongoing search. Each painting begins from a particular encounter and finds its own form.

I rarely paint what appears. I paint what comes alive.
