Listening to What Wants to Emerge...

Every painting begins with a question.

Not a question asked by the mind,

but by life itself.

What wants to emerge?

I do not begin with a fixed image or a predetermined destination.

I listen.

I follow colour, gesture, sensation and intuition until something finds its form.

Over time, I realised that this process is not limited to painting.

The same invitation exists in every aspect of life.

In our relationships.

In our dreams.

In nature.

In moments of silence.

In times of uncertainty and transformation.

As you move through this space, you are invited to do the same.

Rather than asking:

“What does this painting mean?”

Perhaps ask:

“What does this painting awaken in me?”

“What does it remind me of?”

“What is life showing me through this painting?”

“What seeks to emerge within me today?”

There is no right answer.

Only a conversation.

A dialogue between the artwork and the one who encounters it.
